Rebecca Hopkins has been deeply involved in the Wine industry for more than 20 years. Raised in the premium wine region of McLaren Vale, South Australia, Rebecca grew up surrounded by agriculture and took her first role with Wirra Wirra vineyards in McLaren Vale while completing her Bachelor of Wine Marketing at Adelaide University. In 1996, Rebecca was awarded the inaugural Student Prize for the "Vin de Champagne Award" awarded by the Champagne region's governing body, and in 2003 was presented a "Ordre de Coteaux de Champagne" for her services to the region and wines of Champagne.

 

Leading the Global Communications efforts for Australia’s largest winemaker, BRL Hardy from 2003, Rebecca was recruited to the US with Constellation Brands in 2007 to lead and develop brand strategies and communication programs for the largest in-house Communications and Events team in the Americas. Rebecca lead creative programs including “Giving through Growing” supporting the American Community Gardening Association and the launch of “Dreaming Tree” – a wine created in partnership with American musician Dave Matthews.

 

Rebecca returned to her family-owned winemaking roots in 2012, joining third generation winemaker, Michael Mondavi at Folio Fine Wine Partners, to lead the strategic communications of the Michael Mondavi family, its wines, vineyards and land steward programs in the Napa Valley, California.
